2023 - 2024 State Budget Overview
After more than 12 weeks into the new fiscal year, state lawmakers have finally reached an agreement on a $30 billion state budget package that holds much-needed compensation increases for K-12 employees and important funding for public schools statewide. In addition, the budget is packed with major education policy directives, including many that must be implemented this school year.
