NCASA hosts the Conference on Educational Leadership (CEL) annually to bring together school leaders from across the state to receive relevant information on the latest trends and timely education hot topics. Attendees benefit from networking opportunities, peer-led breakout sessions on best practices, motivational and nationally known keynote presentations, insightful panel discussions, legislative and policy updates, and much more.

NCASA webinars present a wide variety of topics, ranging from education policy to day-to-day operations best practices for school and district leaders. Each webinar brings together experts from the fields of state government, private industry, and/or education leaders from across the state to provide valuable insights and guidance you can’t get anywhere else.

Additionally, NCASA provides various training opportunities to ensure school administrators meet state requirements prescribed within enacted K-12 laws and policies.
- NCASA currently provides training for Conflict of Interest and ethics compliance, which was passed into law in 2023. state law requires all public school employees involved in the making or administering of contracts” to receive a minimum of two hours of conflicts of interest (COI) training.”
- This training is a requirement for all school employees with contracting authority as of October 3, 2023, and the law required initial COI training within six months of the budget’s effective date, which was April 3, 2024, and again in every odd-numbered year. Employees who assume contracting authority after must receive initial training within 90 days of employment, and again in every odd-numbered year.
- This training is offered FREE to ALL NCASA members. To take the course, click HERE, and login into member portal. Once the course has been completed, the user can save their certification for their personal files or share with their school or district for compliance confirmation.
NCASA occasionally provides face-to-face or web-based workshops to provide helpful guidance and highlight initiatives to assist school administrators to improve daily operations and/or pursue initiatives that will improve the learning experiences for students.
