NCASA’s 2023 School Leader Day at the Legislature took place on April 18, 2023. The day began with a morning briefing featuring comments by State Superintendent Catherine Truitt, discussions with key education leaders from the NC House and Senate, and and updates from our NCASA Advocacy Team. Afterward, school leaders had the opportunity to visit with their own legislative delegation in the General Assembly complex to talk about current public school issues that are most important to you. They also got the chance to hear education bills being debated in legislative committees and/or on the floor of the House and Senate.

NCASA thanks the numerous superintendents, principals and school administrators who took the time out of their busy schedules to be a part of this worthwhile event. This was a very productive day and something we would like to do again in the future.
